Kevin M. Boss | Financial Advisor | Boss Financial Strategies

Kevin M. Boss ChFC®, MBA

I didn't start out as a financial advisor. I started out on a submarine.

For over a decade, I served as a nuclear submarine officer and engineer in the U.S. Navy, then spent years leading teams in the corporate world before I ever sat across the table from a client. Along the way, I learned something that's shaped everything I do now: the people who take their responsibilities most seriously, to their families, their teams, their missions, their communities, are usually the ones who benefit most from having a real plan.

That's what led me to financial planning. Not because I wanted to sell products, but because I wanted to help people like the ones I served alongside, people who've worked hard, taken care of others, and built something meaningful, make thoughtful, values-based decisions with what they've built.

At Boss Financial Strategies, my approach starts with a simple question: what do you want your money to accomplish? Once I understand that, your family, your goals, the causes and people you care about, I build a comprehensive plan that brings every part of your financial life together. Retirement. Taxes. Investments. Insurance. Estate planning. All of it, working toward the same purpose.

I hold a ChFC® and an MBA, and I stay current on the strategies and rules that affect your plan because you deserve advice that's both thoughtful and technically sound. That expertise is the foundation, but the relationship is what I build on top of it: I take the time to understand what's important to you, I act as your most trusted advisor, and I stay in your corner, continually monitoring your plan as your life changes.

Outside the office, you'll usually find me with my wife, Mandy; our kids, Brennan, Kallen, and Roselynn; and our dog, Mable. I'm active in my church and community, and I support causes close to my heart, including the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
